IO-R™- Triad-Orbit’s exclusive IO quick-change coupler is standard equipment on all Triad-Orbit products. IO-R (Retrofit) couplers are designed to add IO quick-change innovation to your existing stands. With IO-R, ‘on-the- fly’ hardware swaps are now a reality, replacing the tedious task of threading gear on and off. Every IO-R is loaded with an IO-H1 hex mounting head.  

Retrofitting conventional mic stands and boom arms with MICRO-R and IO-R aftermarket components provides an instant upgrade in functionality. Live sound and recording professionals will easily recoup their investment in MICRO and IO technology by realizing instant savings from reduced set-up and tear-down times.

All TRIAD-ORBIT Advanced Stand System components are IO-equipped, giving them unique quick-change capability. Rapid hardware and mic changes between recording sessions and live sets are a snap, thanks to the integrated IO quick-change platform. TRIAD Articulating Mic Stands, ORBIT Orbital Booms and MICRO Orbital Mic Adaptors all incorporate the IO innovation.

When coupled with the IO-R, the IO-H quick-change mounting head provides instant compatibility between conventional mic stands, boom arms and mic clips and TRIAD-ORBIT Advanced Stand System components. The IO-H features the industry-standard 5/8-inch mounting thread and an optional 3/8-inch BSW adaptor for universal compatibility.
