LED300W is an asymmetrical wall washer designed for theatrical, architectural and broadcasting applications.
Our CYC LED fixture uniformly illuminates any type of background or backdrop to create the right atmosphere in contexts where the right colors and lights are essential.
Projectors equipped with an optical system, symmetrical or asymmetrical, designed to illuminate large surfaces with the widest and most uniform light beam possible.
Symmetrical diffusers, also called “ribaltine”, distribute light frontally in a symmetrical manner and are used for direct lighting of the scenic object (e.g. actor).
Asymmetric diffusers, also called “cycloramas”, are used to homogeneously illuminate theater backdrops and cinema cycloramas.
This floodlight is an asymmetrical wall washer designed for theatrical, architectural and broadcasting applications.
CYC LED fixture uniformly illuminates any type of background or backdrop to create the right atmosphere in contexts where the right colors and lights are essential.
With the extremely wide horizontal beam and the possibility to generate with LEDs an almost infinite range of colours, you get significant savings both in the number of luminaires needed and in the power used.
The housing is IP20 rating, made by rugged, highly resistant extruded aluminum, free of defects such as burrs, pits and malformations, in combination with lightweight fiber glass enforced hammer proof techno-polymer parts.
The housing doesn’t present any sharp edge and be made with a durable yet lightweight and rustproof construction with excellent mechanical strength for longer life also in presence of high humidity.
Finish is shockproof with anti-scratch epoxy raisin powder coating non-reflective black finish with electrostatic application.
The fixture has a rugged rustproof aluminum yoke, reversible and adjustable in height, with fast balancing technology, mounted into extruded aluminum sliding rail for any positioning of the yoke.
The fixture can easily stand on the floor without other accessories thanks to a quick adjustable and extremely flexible yoke positioning.
The fixture has a display equipped with a 4 buttons for local control.
The fixture utilizes an advanced thermal management system to maintain LED life to an average of 70% intensity after 54,000 hours of use.
The thermal management system is based on the combination of two cooling systems:
– a passive natural heat convection and
– a super silent active cooling system, also controllable via lighting desk
The passive natural heat convection is guaranteed by excellent LED cooling due to very large and effective double labyrinth dissipation, which at the same time avoid any light spillage over the entire top and the back part of the fixture.
The active cooling system is guaranteed by a forced dissipation of heat using a fan, allowing to intervene on the speed and therefore on the noise of the fans.
The thermal management system includes multiple temperature sensors to avoid an early LED deterioration. In addition a fan speed software allows to override DMX fan speed setting or the current to the LED array in order to prevent heat damages of the fixture that brings lifespan at risk.
The fixture works also mounted upside down on a ceiling, pipe or truss
The fixture works also with not perfect parallel walls or curved screens without overlapping hart-projection-edges or dark light gaps
The fixture offers the possibility to place it side by side to each other increasing the intensities and rainbow color effects or every 3m, in line with other lights, without the need of a dedicated truss or suspension pipe
The fixture has a quick and easy operable frost filter frame holder in front, giving the possibility to make a harder or softer color beam projection in addition to any optional filters
The fixture is a true asymmetrical highly efficient optical floodlight and wall washer designed to deliver powerful, smooth coverage of a huge variety of pastel colors, allowing the even illumination of an area of approximately 6 meters wide and 7 meters in height, positioned at a distance from the backdrop of only 1.5 meters making a uniform projection without pixilation effects.
The fixture ensures the real direct asymmetrical projection being specifically designed with different optics and overlapping projection.
The optics shall be made by high-quality glass with AR Anti Reflex coating and PMMA lenses.
When mounting an Array LED engine, the fixture has a color mixing optical system to avoid pixeling effects.
Power supply:
The fixture has the PSU driver and dimmer electronic integrated on board.
The fixture is equipped with an internal auto sensing power supply with an input range from 100V to 240V – 50/60 Hz protect by on board fuse
The efficiency should be PF>0.94/230VAC PF>0.98/115VAC at full load
Power connector:
– lockable Neutrik® PowerCON True1 TOP main input connector
– lockable Neutrik® PowerCON True1 TOP main through connector
The fixture supports power in and thru operation up to 16A
Control (DMX signal):
– international standard with XLR 5-pole in/out connectors
The fixtures can be linked together with standard DMX cable
The Hyperion Series Spotlights are able to emulate the performance of a halogen lamp.
In the continuous search to satisfy “nostalgic” light designers of halogen light and to get closer to the natural perception that the human eye has of an object illuminated with LED, it is not enough that the static light simulates halogen light, but that it is also dynamic regulation. For an LED headlight to behave like a halogen headlight, there are three aspects to consider:
the dimmer curve which represents the inertia with which the light is returned by the source according to the signal it receives. It can be set up as linear or quadratic with “slow release” curvature.
the delay, i.e. the “delay” with which a filament begins to emit light after it receives the electrical stimulus. Shift the curve by milliseconds, adjustable.
the amber shift effect, it is a “defect” or imperfection typical of the halogen lamp which allows a slight amber/orange color change to which a halogen lamp tends when it is dimmed, reducing its emission.
All Hyperion Series fixtures include features to resolve or minimize these disturbances. For example:
Silent mode – in order to work properly, a lighthouse needs a cooling system, which can be passive (radiator type) or active (presence of fans that “blow” the hot air away to make the source work within a range temperature considered ideal). The silent mode function allows you to intervene on the speed and therefore on the noise of these fans: an algorithm detects the internal temperatures from the thermostat and controls the current to ensure continuous operation of the light, preventing damage or shutdowns. In some situations, for example in the lighting park above the symphony orchestra or in some art museums, “absolute silence” is required, therefore it is necessary to be able to deactivate the operation of the fans.
Flicker free – when filming a show with cameras or even simply with the smartphone video camera it is possible that annoying oscillations (flickering) appear on the screen due to the frequency conflict between the emission of the LED light and the scanning of the brush of the receiving camera. This conflict must be resolved by acting on the camera recording parameters or on the LED source parameters.
Booster – this is a function that allows the light emission of the individual channels to be increased up to +20%, when a tint or a CCT value is selected in which not all channels are at full. A microprocessor monitors the working temperature of the LED and updates the source control parameters in real time.
Stand alone – this funciotn allows to control one or more fixtures without using a console. In fact, the software allows you to create one or more static colors and to define the duration and sequence of each one.
The function can be set on a single fixture or on a group of fixtures. In this second case it is necessary to define the “master” fixture and the “slave” ones.
Calibration – when a group of fixtures is used, it may happen that one or more of them, with the same DMX values, have a color component (e.g.: red) to be “corrected” to make the tint uniform to that of the other fixtures. This function allows you to modify the spectrometric curve of a fixture, intervening on the contribution of the single color of the array.
Custom presets – in addition to a rich library of “factory” colors (standard presets), it is possible to create and save up to 10 colors within a second library (custom presets).
It is possible to set the color temperature of the white from the projector menu from 2,700K to 8,000K.
The fixture offers the possibility to choose one of the following dimming curves, each of them optimized for smooth dimming at low intensities and over longer timed fades: linear, halo and quadratic.
The fixture features control of intensity in 8bit or in 16bit mode (for high-resolution dimming) without any exhibiting flicker, stepping or jumping.
The fixture guarantees a very smooth dimming of intensity from 0% to 100% and vice-versa.
A special algorithm ensures that the color temperature remains constant during dimming.
In this version the DMX signal is transmitted via cable from the console (or splitter) to a transmitter which converts it into a radio signal which is transmitted again to a receiver mounted on the fixture. This solution is useful in those situations where the use of the cable is not possible or is not recommended for excessive distances.
