This stereo, 24-bit, 96kHz 1U rackmount unit that produces an AES/EBU or SPDIF output from a balanced or unbalanced analogue stereo input, and a stereo balanced or unbalanced output from an incoming AES/EBU or SPDIF input. Designed to complement CEDAR’s award-winning DNS-series and Duo-series hardware modules as well as CEDAR Cambridge, the ADA offers four sync modes, professional and consumer formats, emphasis on/off, user-selectable input levels of up to 27dBu, and a maximum output level of +24dBu.
With both professional (XLR) and consumer (phono) analogue inputs and outputs, the ADA is usable in almost all analogue and digital environments. With a dynamic range of greater than 110dB and a signal to noise ratio of better than 109dBfs, it’s suitable for all but the very most demanding converter tasks.
